Minimising Security Risks in SAAS Environments
Carmen Nunez and Keith Marlow

ELMO provides Cloud HR & Payroll solutions into the Australian and New Zealand markets.  As a SaaS platform we face many of the challenges that many organisations face of having to secure an online application product suite that contains Personally Identifiable Information (PII).   In addition, we also need to be compliant with sector and market specific regulations e.g. Single Touch Payroll, CPS 234, governmental security standards.
ELMO takes security seriously and has a dedicated Security Team that recently implemented ISO 27001:2013 and is looking to implement ISO 27701:2019, the new PII standard.
In this session we examine the top 5 security risks faced by organisations in Australia and ways to mitigate these risks. We look at the impact of security incidents and analyse two recent data breaches, how they happened and what we can learn so that businesses can avoid a similar fate.

Security, Continuity, risk and IT Governance - do they go hand-in-hand?
Rinske Geerlings

Rinske Geerlings (awarded Risk Consultant of the Year 2017 by the RMIA), will present a brief overview of Risk Management (incl ISO 31000), Information Security (incl ISO 27001), IT Governance (incl COBIT, ITIL) and Business Continuity (incl ISO 22301).
Rinske will then facilitate an interactive Ball Game for all delegates to participate in, demonstrating the interactions between the above listed 4 processes. The game will show how to prevent duplication of effort and optimally achieve alignment between processes and frameworks.
